Butter Biscuits

Preheat oven to 350. In a large bowl beat butter, sugar, honey and vanilla with an electric mixer, until well-blended. Beat in egg, flour and salt. Form dough into a ball, wrap in plastic
and chill at least 3 hours or until firm enough to roll out. To cut out and bake biscuits, roll half of the dough, on a lightly-floured surface, -inch thick. (Make sure dough is cold while
you are working with it.) Cut into desired shapes and place one-inch apart on baking sheets. Decorate with sprinkles, sugar, nuts, etc. Bake approximately 10 minutes or until edges are
golden brown. Cool on wire racks. Store in airtight containers. Makes a little over 2 dozen 2 inch cookies.
Chocolate Chip Drop Cookies:
Make Butter Cookies recipe but use light brown sugar and add 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, 2 Tablespoons milk, 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips and 1/2 cup chopped walnuts. Drop heaping
teaspoonsful onto baking sheets. Bake at 350, 10 to 12 minutes. Makes about 3 dozen.
